$ Saving tips when you’re eating healthy
Make your own Coffee, you’ll save $1 a cup! P.S. you can make your own iced coffee too!
Buy the 32 oz. yogurt, not individuals and add what you like: nuts, granola etc…
Freeze your fruit and veggies! Why buy a frozen bag of fruit when you can freeze your own?! Freeze bananas, grapes, and berries. They’ll stay good longer and you’d be surprised at what you can make with them (banana bread, smoothies, fruit pops and more) p.s. frozen grapes are a great snack!
Buy local! Save your fruit and veggie shopping for your local farmers markets. If you don’t know where one is near you Google it, I bet you there’s one in a 20 mile radius of you, and if not… Go to the nearest farm and ask!
Use your coupons! I get a million coupons a day, sometimes there are some good ones. When you get to the grocery store pick up a newsletter and see if there’s anything that tickles your fancy.
The moral of this story is:
- Everything in moderation
- Cook your own food, it’s healthier in general
- Don’t eat out as much
- Pay attention to prices and deals that are going on in your area
and you’ll be home free, and maybe a couple pounds lighter when you get home xx
